LR3, nope, the wrong weight was put into the Laptop. It's actually quite hard to get the MCDU wrong by more than a couple of tonnes, as it loads up the estimated weight via acars, plus you HAVE to put the Fuel in. If it doesn't come from the acars you put it in off the OFP, so I suppose an error on the ZFW can be made there.
In the MEL case the Green dot speed (Vref +30 for Boeing???) would have been correct in the box, but the Flex and V speeds would have been incorrect due to the wrong weight in the Laptop

FM - the INIT upload DOES NOT INCLUDE THE ZFW... You have to manually insert that along with the planning ZFWCG of 28%.............. No wonder management are giving us a hard time:ug
Edited to add that the estimated ramp fuel IS uploaded, so you've got that completely the wrong way around!! You just have to reinsert the corrected ramp fuel whwn you've received the final ZFW..
Anyway - none of it's rocket science

Sorry, too much wine, you are spot on.
My original points stands, it's a lot easier to get the laptop wrong, than it is to get the MCDU wrong. The worst thing you could prob do is put the lower of the ZFW or the LW in, regardless, the Fuel fig & ZFW both have to go in.

As a bonus, If one OPT /EFB is inop, then each must do the calculations on the operating one. Do I have the interpretation correct?
If so - Left EFB is U/S. FO makes the calculations, he can't simply transfer the data, he has to remove himself from the seat, allow the Captain to sit in that seat and complete the calculations himself?
Good Luck with that!
