Looking for Iran Air and Mahan Air pilots!!!

Hi there,

Is there any Iran air, Mahan Air, or Kish air pilots in this forum that could help me to get in touch with the recruiting poeple of the airlines mentioned. I have tried to send them e-mails, but no luck.

I recently go laid off from my Airline and looking to try my luck in Iran. I hold a Iranian passport. Dual citizen!!!

If you could PM me I would be grateful,

Thanks

Amin

I know a guy from Marroco that had dual citizenship. He went to Marroco and got hired with one of the companies down there and once he had
some experience on jets he moved back to Europe. It migt be a good choice when the market is so bad.

Good luck

Good bunch of guys, just jump on Turkish Airlines and get to THR and go visit them for tea with your CV.
PS learn a few Persian words to get around the airport.

Any Information

Amin,
Did you find any information about Iran Air or Mehan Air? Im want to try my luck with them but like you I have sent emails and got no response. Although I am American, my wife is Iranian and all of her family is in Tehran and we would love to be there. I would appreciate any information you may have obtained. Thanks.

Sometimes nostalgia is not the same as reality.

I have been to Tehran. I have also worked with very nice Iranian pilots while on overseas contracts. I really like the Iranian people, don't care much for their gov'ts politics.

As a corporate pilot, I once flew around the Minister of Roads and Transport for Iran on a few charter flights. While in Tehran, he brought along his CP, who was interested in obtaining the type of equipment we were flying as a replacement for the gov't VIP fleet. After chit-chatting up with him, he told me his pay was around $1000/ mo. This was in 2004. I'm not sure if that is true, and I'm sure $1,000 goes a long way in Tehran. But if you have bills back home in the US, you'll be hard pressed to pay for anything on a grand a month... and this was the CP! I dunno' maybe it's more now. Afterall, that was 5 yrs ago.

Take it FWIW.

New airline for Iran

Seems Iran is set to get its own LCC in the near future. The name is 'Ease on' Air, I'm not sure if that is some direct translation from Farsi to English but it's a terrible name and they should probably re-think it.

Anyway, the website is www.easeonair.com, information on them is scarce and the website doesn't give away very much apart from the proposed aircraft type, B-733/734. I would have thought that the current US sanctions would make it hard for them to get spares for these aircraft on top of the fact that there are not so many operators of these aircraft in the region.

Here is a link from 'Airline Business'...

Flying in Iran as an exp., I can assure you, that life here in THR is very nice, people are extremely friendly and helpful.
It is a good place to be. One of the problems is that there is no connection between banks, making your cash-card and your credit card, useless.
Of course you must give-up any kind of alcohol drinking.
I am not flying in those mentioned companies, to help you, but the best, is to come here, and visit their HR dep. with your papers....Good luck!

Hi Amin

I am currently working as Captain in one of Iran's regional Airline.

I know couple of Iranian-American pilots working in Iran right know.

and if you are Captain there are chances for you to get a Job in Iran

but as previously mentioned by other guys on this thread the average salary for FO is around 5,000,000 toman(around 3000 USD) and as Captain you can expect to get something around 7,000,000 toman (4000 USD) depending on your Company. It might sound so chip in State but in Iran you can live a good life with this salary.

Any way if you need more info feel free to send me an Email ,my email address is :
