"A visual approach in gulf air is like Imelman's maneuver"

Nobody1903
I was just wondering for how long have you been in GF?
I never had a problem with any CPT, weather permitting, to fly a visual approach and I am an FO.

i think they traped them slef's when they promissed to upgrad 50 f/o's it was a trick to keep them with gulfair cuz if anybody goes to the ops and just by looking to the pic bored they will see that more then 70% of the flight deck are captens

Hello all,

Interesting information on this thread and entire forum.

What are your thoughts on hiring at Gulf for the next year or so? I'm assuming things have slowed down. Their website says they accept apps from turboprop pilots. I'm currently flying the Dash8 400. Does anyone know what the realistic mins are for an FO position?

Thank you.

No, we are still recruiting a lot of F/Os.

Yep, a 320 type rating, an ATPL and hours on type ++

Ah yea I figured with the package they offer there wouldn't be a shortage of type rated applicants. The non rated mins seemed too good to be true. Thank you for the inside scoop.
