Okay.............

I will stick my head above the parapet for this one

Work. Depends on which contract you are on (there are four!). Mix of loco and Kayala within KSA and to a number of well known middle east destinations. Flying is good on the whole. Transport isn't.

Living. Hotels. Will probably change daily, depending on who the company hasn't upset that particular day by not paying the bill. Some of us are now in compounds - though the company has now upset us by not paying our housing allowance. I think there are a few people who have their families with them, so it is workable , i just don't know how that works, sorry.

Training. On the bus - JATS in Amman, on the jungle jet it's Saudia in Jeddah. Everyone has there own opinion. Amman is a nice place to visit, hotel has some good resturants and bars.

Pay. F/O's. I only know my contract (which clearly states i am not allowed to give out false information about the company), so i am a little shy to publish what might turn out to be utter drivel.

Look, i'll be blunt........it's not the best place in the world and it's not the worst in the world either. The pay is good for the time off, but i'm away from home for weeks at a time that the wife isn't keen on (not a word, other ginger). It's got management issues, power struggles and other ridiculous nuances - find me a company that hasn't. I have met some great people along the way( not you, sunset!!), laughed occasionally and got to see some places i didn't think i would. Not bad really.

6/10. Could do better.

More Guiness sir.............Oh, dont mind if i do!!

Now then then now then now then............now. Fly Ginger

Who on earth would listen to my opinion anyway

I once learnt in a large government organisation, that prior planning and preparation prevents p*ss poor performance.

Mmmmmmmmmm

...Ginger, good post my friend, I'm sure everyone appreciates your balanced input.

I understand you may not want to violate your contract in any way by giving specific salary but is it possible to get a range/some basic idea ($4000 to $5000usd or $5000 to $6000).

how long is the training for the bus in Amman?

There are Storm contracts and Direct contracts.

Storm offers either a 35/31, 6/3, or 6/2 contract for both Captains and FO's. Typically you'll make $12,700 or $11,400 per month as a Captain depending on your rotation schedule. I have no idea what the FO pay is for Storm contracts, so someone else lurking on here may want to post the info.

Direct contracts are for 6/3 or full-time. For Captains it pays a base salary of $8222 + $667 (Riyadh based) per month. You also receive hourly flight pay based on a graduated scale for every 25 hours of flight time per month. Example: If you fly 90 hours per month, you will make $13,155.

Oh yeah, and watch out for the cornhole!

Thanks Bukkake
So if you apply the industry standard CA/FO pay ratio (60%-70%) you can get an approximation of what an FO can expect. Fair enough.

Accomodation

Sorry Guys,
But I got few questions for you:
If you go in KSA for a 6 weeks rotation can you expect to change your hotel daily?
2 questions : If you are in the compounds and nas doesn't pay the costs who pays?

thanks in advance

Accomodation is paid for. The first hotel they put you in for your rotation will be in effect your base for the duration, you will operate out of Jeddah and return to the hotel you started at.

Clear as mud.

Compounds are an agreement with the company, you have an allowance instead of the hotel, and you find yourself a compound where you will stay whilst in RUH. They will pay you a rate depending on your contract.

I'm going to start putting in claims for this company recruitment info.........how long before you think i will see the money

Is that what you are hearing, that they are done soon. You must have better info as you are in the area. Why would close when they just order 3.8B worth of Aircraft.

Mutt

You really ought to be working part time for us, as you seem to know what's going on here before we do!! There is a new man in the office, it's true.

Could you answer the following questions;

1. How will the new man affect the old one's position within the company

2. Will the hotel bill be paid (we like this one!!)

3. Which month will see i my extra days pay

4. Are we closing??

5. Do you know anyone who wants a few 190/195's - very low milage- just
like new!!

May other questions need answering, so please - stay in touch

Yup..., I'm afraid "the writing is on the wall" (N.A. term for it's true). Some of the E190 guys at my company had applications with them, but are now told - "don't quite your day job" (N.A. term for don't leave your current position). Good luck in your future endeavors NAS pilots.
