Post what job you´re looking for?

If you are looking for a job as a dispatcher, you should start small!
Saying that: there are some small companies in the UAE, giving dispatchers with no experience a chance, pay is usually crap, but as you gain some experience you eventually will become more attractive in the market. Plus once in the sandpit it is a very god place for networking.
Try companies like FECA (Falcon Express Cargo Airlines), they always take on newbies,
or some executive outfits, like Elite, Empire, Gulfjet, Rizon Jet if you are limited to Dubai..
Hope that helps..

Edit: fingertrouble

thanx

Thankx Sharksucker for the information. I knew that would be the problem...jeez if they wont give newbies like us a chance then who would? i mean we are cheap, hard working, and motivated...what else do they want?

Hi Ferhankaka,

Likely reason why you are not getting an interview is that you are in the US and operators in Dubai would like to see you before hiring. Unfortunately inexperienced Dispatchers do not get paid well ($3500 - $5000/month) and companies will be reluctant to pay your travel expenses only for an interview. So, they all take the easy route and hire people already in the gulf or poach from other operators.

My advice to you is to plan a week visit in Dubai in the next few months and once you have dates and accomodation sorted, contact the Ops Managers at all the Operators mentioned + as many others as you can find and inform them that you will be in Dubai during those dates and able to attend a "free of charge" interview. I can almost guarantee you that you will get face-time with most of them. From there on it will be up to you to convince them that you are up for the task and understand the pay scales + the cost of living in Dubai.

As Sharksucker said, the money will not be good in the beginning, but you will get very good experience in no time and progress fast if you prove yourself.

Good Luck,

Vert

Thnkx Vertigo

Thnx man, but i am already in dubai. The biggest problem in contacting the ops manager is that their secs dont easily transfer the phone lines. I have already tried doing that. But thanks for the advice though man, and i will make sure that i try it again.
