It has been posted on this thread. Go back a few pages and you will find it. In fact you have posted the basic salary package on page 3. Has there been some major change in Oman Air?
Added benefits would be medical for self and family plus educational allowance covering 75% of school expenses. Leave will probably be around 40-42 days a year, with a free ticket plus ID 90's. End of service benefits will be according to Omani Law.

Based on information I have, the package information is correct. Hiring is going on for the B737NG. Send your stuff to [email protected].
They interview once a month (approximately) in Dubai.

Don't go by the website. They are screening applicants as we speak for the NG. I know because I have an interview scheduled next month for a B737 Capt position. If you want to be considered send in your CV to the email address above, and then wait a few weeks for a response. If you are NG current/qualified you should hear in about a week. I heard back in a few days.

Does anyone know what the annual leave allowance is at Oman Air? Also do they provide you with positive space tickets on your leave? I assume that the leave cannot be taken all at once. I gather many would like to escape the hot summer months. Are the cabin crew all Omani's or other nationalities? How is the general rapport with them?

46 days - 2 lots of 23 , with a couple of days off added to each block . The new system will force crew to take the full allowance each year , so no moe accumulation.
There is an annual ticket to home base for you and family , otherwise very good staff travel on Omanair and others .
Summer months very popular for obvious reasons , but as Ramadan and Eid will fall in the months July August September for the next few years ( it moves forward by about 2 weeks annually ), there is less likelyhood of success than at other times.
Many Omani cabin crew , but mostly expats from all over the world , mainly North Africans , Thais and South Koreans . Rapport is excellent .

As there seems to be a long wait for the British School can anyone tell me about other alternatives - I've a 10 yr old daughter.
The other big question is after paying towards housing and schooling will I be able to save any money?
Thanks in advance for any help

It looks like you will have to pay:
1. Another 500 OR -750 OR for a nice 3 bedroom villa (Allowance is 590 OR).
2. Another 150-200 OR a month per child for schooling costs at an expat school. Allowance is 75% upto 1800OR/yr depending on age/grade. Fees run around 3300OR plus deposits.
The first year is probably catch up. After year 1 I think you might be able to save. Definitely more than you would be able to in Dubai working for FlyD.
I am not as yet in Muscat--anyone in the field care to agree/disagree?

Please do not forget that when you all have figured out the time to command, the days off, the housing alowance, the living cost, your possible savings a year, you will still have to apply, be accepted for an interview and pass the simulator check before you get in.
