Ah, the jokes about the 146 performance...
After 4000 hrs on this thing, with 3000 hrs as Captain and LCY qualification, I have heard them so many times, from the outside world (and from people who never flew them, of course)
"You know, real jets have power, like the Airbus, and the 777 - you aircraft is so slow, pilots like you will have difficulty to adapt to a faster or more powerful one"
Then I usually say quietly :
"For 20 years I flew with burner , used to climb to FL 360 within about 3 minutes from brake release, got M2.2 a couple of times at FL 450, started many times half a loop immediately after rotation, tried 640 kts at 100ft over flat terrain, got the wake over the sea at an even lower altitude, and tried to push the natives in their dugboats to jump in the water ... so now tell me again what you mean with performance ?"
and out of the way is the opposition...
and by the way, even I'm now flying wide-body Airbuses from a sunny place, 146 is still part of myself and I'm glad I flew that sort of Hercules with jets (yes, I flew C-130 too)
Anytime babies

Hey Miller's C....
Has your doctor told you what that condition is called? It seems to have something to do with your spleen being bigger than your brain.
You are a schadenfreude-flavoured popsicle. White Knight may be taking a vacation but you need one.
