Just finished reading an article about a small Spanish airline named Gadair and its bid of €500 Million for Spanair, Spain's second largest airline, which is up for sale. Seems like Gadair is trying to start a franchise of airlines that span from the Americas all the way to the Middle East (Gadair Gulf), supported by investment funding from various Spanish, Emirati (Bin Salem of Abu Dhabi) and Canadian investment (Longstock Financial Group) groups. André Dosé, is their consultant.

Gadair Gulf has been in Bah for over a year. Some kind of money laudering scam. All very dogey stuff. The Italian CEO ran away recently after selling his other partners shares to some UAE guys.

To be honest with you Mephistopheles, I was under the exact same impression until the Spanair bid, which from the articles I am reading, Gadair seems to be the top bidder. Interestingly, also noticed a new Gadair counter on the arrivals level of the Bahrain International Airport.
Found this information on an independent website that tracks flight arrivals/departures. Seems like there are regular flights between BAH and MAD-- Gadair was proposing service with Boeing 757's. Anybody notice if these are for real or just computer phantoms?
Watching this mystery unfold is more interesting than anything I am getting on my Orbit subscription.

The desk has been at the airport for sometime now, at least 6 months. The flights are purely ficticious & they just layed everyone off from their HQ in Al Moayad Tower ,strangley enough right next to the fish market!!!

Well...if it's a dodgy outfit and there's money laundering involved, someone from Switzerland is the best you can get!
