It seems to me like EK doesn't realize that competition in the pilot market is out there. Especially in the last year or two. I foresee a shift in pilot movement towards the Asian market...

And yet there is blokes over here in CX/KA talking about jumping ship to EK! In light of this recent policy that may all change.

Seems like they've swapped the bid numbers round!!
Anyone remember rules on single days off. They seem to be the flavour of the month as well.Never mind a string of days off, you wont find AAR shorting his weekends to one day I bet.

777 Mid Bid Group, Got exactly what I bidded to avoid. Not a single flight or destination I asked for. Got 14 days off though, Heaven knows I will need them

I usually get a 50 - 80% success rate in the middle bid, certainly did last year. Can't say I'm impressed.

Hope things get better, the whole family takes strain when you get a roster that clashes with your obligations at home. I was under the impression that this was the entire reason for having a bid system, to accommodate an individuals lifestyle. Must have had it all wrong.

I am in top bid group and got exactly what I asked for. For the first time I even went to the extent of bidding for specific flights on specific days?? Go figure. I even asked for days off for the Dubai World Cup and got them?? For some unknown reason it seems to be working for me
