Dubai Departures - Holiday Rush - Chaos or Calm??
My friends at the airport tell me that it's gonna be a bumper holiday season from DXB, with just about every aircraft departing full in all available classes. Good $ for the airlines, but I would imagine hell for the airport staff.
Some carriers are also laying on extra capacity to uplift the masses. Air-India will operate a 744 to BOM on certain rotations this week. Today's has just arrived, and it's the ex-MH machine painted in Air-India's new colours. Very nice. QR's 773 is here 3 times a day from Doha (coinciding with the aircraft's entry into service). SQ is mainly 773 too, rather than the usual mix of 773 and 772.
Egyptair has operated two consecutive flights today, landing within moments of each other. A332, followed on the heels by an AB6.
