The old thread was getting boring....
The teaser adverts in the local papers are interesting:
"I fly you to and from the Airport"....
Am I missing the sarcasm here............

RAK Airways,same owner as DANA JETS???
LOL LOL LOL,RAK airways will never fly, never!!!and Dana Jets Own by same guy as RAK Airways will last few more months flying, not more!!!.Why?because they are unable to run a company,full of politics,and what i have heard many things are going on there,many bad things!!!Many good companies in the market but not Dana or Rak Airways.i dont know iif is true everything I heard because are very tough things and very crazy but some of them i really believe it because i heard them from totally different people.

As you know Dana's money come from goverment and from Dr.Massaad owner of Rak Ceramics but they dont know how to use the money, they dont know how to run a Jets company.Every month this man decide to who cut salaries.They are full of politics, the director of operations is just an idiot who can't do nothing,NOTHING!!he just trying to destroy the company making politics and lying lying and lying, he doesnt care at all for the company.The MD of the company left few weeks ago because he couldnt stand that situation and as well as more people.If the MD of a company leaves the company by his own feet because he is fed up then something is going wrong.They even had to change the logo of the company few weeks ago because they have bad publicity so had to changed to make the people to belive that they are a different company.And many many more things but a lot of them I can't talk about them in a forum because they are bad things.

Sorry forgot to tell you , Dr.Massad is still the owner of Rak airways and also Dana's, even the flight attendats that Dana has belongs to Rak airways even they fly with the same unimorfm as Rak Airways.Of course they are the same crap,why 2 companies run by same guy have same problems??.

My five pennies worth:
I am not so sure that the RAK Ceramic CEO is the OWNER of RAK Airways and Dana. I think the financial and ownership situation is more complex than that. But as far as I know he is the Accountable Manager/CEO of RAK Airways.
The Dana Director of Operation is the former Hamra Air (RAK Airways is based on the former Hamra Air set up) Director of Operation. A pilot who the management (read: management as of summer 2006) found not suitable for the position as Director of Operations, and consequently side-lined him. What they did not know, or understand, was that Mr. ex-Hamra Director of Operation was, and obviously still is, well protected by the people on top of the pyramid in RAK. So well protected that he is now probably laughing his a
off in his new Dana office thinking about the ex-managers who wanted him out of Hamra/RAK Airways.
The problem is that RAK Airways, and what have you, is run by politics and not professionalism. Good people have been kicked out for no obvious reason since they started with the RAK Airways project. Others have resigned. They have tried to launch RAK Airways as a scheduled airline for close to 2 years now. First they wanted a B737 operation. They bought an old B737-300 that never arrived in the UAE. Today they are flying wet lease charter with a B757. Talks are that B737-800s will enter service.
The BIG question is: who made all that wasted money available for this project

Its true the director of operations and now the MD of the company is the same guy who was in Hamra air,this guy i dont really think he is laughing at his new office that much because he is not going to long last over there, first off all because he is just an idiot he is not able to manage the company,and second bcause the company is not going to last more than 6months.Everything i can say about Dana it looks like unreal and a lie, so i just shouldnt say anything else, i invite you to go for yourself and see it.I have many more things to say but i dont really want to mess up with that kind of people.
One thing I have to say most of the people that they are out now of the company they quit, they werent fired, one of them the MD of the company, he couldt stant that situation anymore, and many more valuable people that they had worked very hard with no reward...and few more are leaving in the next few weeks.

yes he was protected, until now, the big guy is getting tired of him and he is going to be fire very soon, you will see!!!

There is truth in most of these posts, and there is a strong rumour that Dr Potty, will be ousted and replaced by AN other, as far as DANA / RAK are concerned.
The comments about the current COO, (NOT MD), are in my opinion not totally correct, he appears to be trying to change for the better the mess that Dr Potty has instigated.
Dr Potty, as CEO, and responsable person: employs senior staff, and instructs then NOT to communicate with the COO, but direct to him. So you see just how trust works there.
Re toilet purchase there is a seconds shop in the Ceramics Factory Lobby, where there is a great range of slightly used commodes.
The Logo was changed by the new Marketing Director to establish her mark. However she is reluctant to return call from potental clients, at least two now decline to call her. Not bad for less than 2 months on the job. I am told she refuses to visit the office as she is much too busy.
The cabin crew are, as is the Senior Cabin Crew Member, RAK Airways staff, unlicenced, untrained and mostly unskilled in VVIP service.
As you say they are currently dress in the RAK Airways funny suits.
Lastly there is a total of TWO Pilots on the Gulfstream, makes a roster and days off a joke. The GCAA will have a great time come audit day.

Why man a stand with another companies staff, and then add insult to the joke by wearing the other company uniform.
The photoshopped display picture was also a joke, but "it is only a design nothing important", was the answer when I asked.

Dr. tile maker is so impressed with himself he needs to write a full 3 pages telling folks on the web that he is inventive creative and full of his imbued self. I particularly liked the bit about his spare time....goes flying when he finds time, what a fecking joke. Might as well have spoken of his anonism while he was at it.

Why somebody who is running a company and that knows that someone is not doing things well and also treating people badly why is he going to keep that person in the company?Maybe because Mr.Paki knows a lot of things about related with Tile maker and things that can compromise him,dont you think?

Congratulations to Rak Airways, they finally got airborne today, launching their first schedual flight from Ras Al Khaimah to Dhaka at around 10 local time this morning.
Additional destinations for them includes Colombo, Beirut and Sofia.
It took more time than expected to launch the airline, but I hope they will add more aircrafts and destinations soon.
