Managers out of their depth and a non existant commercial planning dept...you hit the nail right on the head noflare.

These guys are not even going to try and compete...Gulf Air mark 2 has raised its head!
If EK do fish for EY guys they may well get quite a few takers, may as well join a company with some anbition and drive.

a bit off the topic

Airbus confirms an A340-600 reportedly bound for Etihad Airways was involved today in a test mishap at the company's Toulouse manufacturing base.
An Airbus spokeswoman confirms there were no fatalities in the incident.
She adds the company has not yet released a statement, and no details were still available.
What did happen anyone?

It appears the breaks didn't hold when they were spooling up the engines. So it started rolling and hit a wall.

"A320s"...? We only have one. Doing about four sectors a day so I wouldnt call it sitting on the ground.
JH said after the Paris air show that there will be no orders at Dubai, so quite a while back. EK are having trouble getting enough pilots as it is so how will they fly the new aircraft, even though they wont be here till 2012 ish....
Someone else mentioned EY villas, man they aint that bad, given that the occupants of Moon Towers and apparently Crescent as well could be looking for new digs.....

320

Some clarifications.
Both A320 are flying at moment. One only by Airmalta crew.
Etihad still have deliveries coming and it was planned that no more orders at moment.
That is actaully planning not lack of it.
