How brainwashed someone has to be to post something like FlyingNun did, really? 
Same story every time the management keeps promising to the guys every day to launch the upgrades and nothing happens at all. Anyone coming here must beware of absolute instability. No planning can be made whatsoever neither career wise nor private wise...

What in gods name going on with that rostering dep? The system is permanently down, website inaccessible. Old practising of abusing whatever only can be abused is in place again Anyone cares to shed some light...?

Qatari 515 is the most active member on this forum and also the most accurate in answering. His point of view from inside the airline is the most reliable.

...On A320 a lot of guys are eying EY because no more fleet transfers from A320 to A330 and EY would give them mixed fleet flying!...

command good news
i just heard 8 F/Os have been given dates for command training from Dec'07. good news. Also around 36 f/os are in pipeline (selected) for command. good to know that Qatar Airways is waking up to the reality. whatever said & done the present GMFO is doing his level best to help our community.

8 F/Os for left seat training good news . One fleet like A320 can do only 2 per manth . 17 still waiting .
Roster for A330 good in general . A300 ok ,A340 best but A320 my friends are in trouble with that rostering mad man .
New rostering m. is Sudani .
AAB ordered another 160 A/C so he need to rise the salary for 40% to get people to that goat airline .

8 FOs where given a date
Indeed so, but those where guys selected in April 2007. The last one of them starts training in March 2008 (11 months after selection)
36 others are selected
Indeed so, but this list includes the selection meeting of june and th guys selected last week. All of them still need to pass by the desk of the CEO for approval, before they can even start their training, flights,interview and upgrade training.
So the last one of this group will hopefully start his training April 2009!!!
A320 can handle between 2 and 4 upgrades/month
A330 upgrades are suspended untill further notice due to the fact that there are way to many captains allready on that fleet! Just look at the number of flights leaving with two captains.
DEC is stopped on A320 and A330 and one of the reasons are the upgrades. The last DEC on A330 will be trained in feb 2008 (he is on the waitinglist right now)
Management wants to increase upgrade training...
Lets see how the new management team will deal with this problem...

Let us appreciate the fact that they re-started the command training for 8 F/Os. they would also like to re-start command on A330 as well and increase numbers to 6 to 8 per month (both A320/A330 together) & increase number of direct enry F/O recruitment. Let us give due recognition to management when they do something good for us.
A320 rostering is absolutely chaos. It is beyond his depth. A340 looks good because it is a small fleet/crew strength, fixed routes, less headache and very easy to manage. I wish (for example) the A330 avoid scheduling pilots arriving from far east in morning and asking to operate to europe in the night after minimum rest, otherwise they do a reasonably good job. A300-Good luck!!!!!! Any idea who will be CP for 777 and rostering planner for 777?

Let's not get too optimistic we all know it's just one man show over here. No matter what the management decides if the boss says no then it's no.....

That's right folks. It looks like a fatal crash landing is juiced up through a mitigation strategy. It's too late to save the assets but not too late to save some of your people. They are worth it. You kill the upgrades and the titanic will sink faster as you can imagine

Ex-CRM from Qr Mr.C C is in Etihad(EY).God Bless EY Pilots on Airbus 320 Fleet.He has been given Airbus 320 fleet (320 Fleet Planner).
Well this guy could not handle his job in Qr.He was just show piece in Qr

Changing roster for European cabin crew in Q.A..well doesn't concern that much people here!
Anyway Indian mafia in roster have done the same for the last years for indian cc..but the diffrence is that ..they (mafia)are still here....
Hope but i doubt that the new roster manager will have a look on that, take necessary action in order for everybody to have a balanced roster!!

Well my roster was out 3 days a go A330 and its ok .
Dont know for mental fleet and 340 but am sure this A320 APU fleet roster will be out at least on 30 th which is ok becouse small aircraft is operated by junior capt and fresh crew which earn small salary .
The most important fleet A330 roster is out . We fly big airplanes ,we earn big salary and we fly best destinations and cabin crew love us.
777 is not a mess yet wait till it take off that will be a mess becouse all instructors are there and that means trouble ! I can see already big photo of Richard N. on QR tower with his big british smille in 777 taking you more personally. Well i guess it cant be CP A300 on photo !
