CRM facilitator notices a Senior Captain not paying particular attention and twiddling his thumbs. So in an effort to get him involved the facilitator asks him if he could tell them what CRM meant to him. Quick as a flash he says:
Quote:
"Yes, before CRM I sometimes thought my F/O was a donkey. After CRM I would say, I think you are a donkey, what do you think?"
That just about sums it up don't you think?

Using the FORDEC model (tongue in cheek):
Facts: "OK, you're a donkey"
Options: "What to do? We'll just accept it, yes?"
Risks: "Donkeys do stupid things"
Decision: "You don't touch anything, we'll be safe. Agreed, yes?"
Execute:
Check: "OK, you're a donkey. What to do, we'll just accept it, yes? Donkeys do stupid things. You don't touch anything, we'll be safe.
"

f.o.'s FORDEC
Fact...the crash axe is on my side
Options...I may opt to use it (qualifies me for a job at FEDEX)
Risks...the Capt may bleed on my shirt
Decision...Use it anyway
Execute..self explanatory
Check....his pulse..none.."get out of my seat"

Great thoughts ironbutt57, but I'm afraid you may have forgotten the step about resetting the Flight Chronometer, for logging essential PIC time. You see, great ideas are produced when two heads are put together.
