How wonderful! It is always refreshing to know we are well looked after and that the corruption chain has not been broken. This is what makes Gulf Air so special.

Sorry but call me stupid!

What makes the ethics committee so ethical, have they been bathed in clorox before being assigned?

Same ****, different day as far as I am concerned, why were none of them capable of pulling the alarm when the train was already going?

Or is it now tha the allegiances have changed and their commitment is different?

As long as you have guys, who are connected, and guys, who are on the take, my bet is nothing will ever change.

From a distance it might look good, but once you are up close, absolutely nothing will have changed.

I don't mean to appear apathic, gentlemen, but it will always be the same down here, so why waste time discussing it?

That a few people get picked up by the CID, is only for it to be made to look good and efficient. Have no illusions, though: It's all just make believe!

Nuff said,

My question is:

Who is on the ethics committee?__________________________

On what basis were they chosen? OK let's this one and the other one and that one too!

Did they not know of or participate in the previous tendering/contract processes? They knew, they participated and turned a blind eye to previous tendering and contracting.

So what is the ethics committee for? (This is my question by the way just in case I lost you there!)

Kroll is the forensic fraud company that has been appointed by the board to investigate any allegations. They are the one who set up the website so that staff can report any fraud or corruption.
Kroll guys investigate and pass on their findings to the board. Its up to the board then to act, such as pass onto the CID.

I am of the opinion that Kroll will investigate what they want but the proof will be if any high profile personnel are caught and prosecuted - and that will be the decision of the board (who knows who they may protect).

Gulf Air

Received my letter from GF today inviting me to report questional behaviours of individuals, suspected financial misconduct, theft and fraud. The letter was sent from procurement haha what a joke! . Think it's been sent to all GF suppliers and trade partners.

Here's a short quote.

" As part of its restructuring programme, Gulf Air management is working on several fronts to rectify and revamp its current systems and practices, so that professional and transparent work ethics are followed in the company."

Interesting article on the BBC today for what its worth:

Arab states named as more corrupt

Oman's score suggests a "serious" level of perceived corruption

An anti-corruption group says three Arab states are among a dozen worldwide where corruption has seen a significant increase in the past year.
The Arab nations named by Transparency International were Jordan and the Gulf states of Bahrain and Oman.
The Arab countries with the least perceived corruption were Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
Places with a history of civil conflict - such as Burma, Iraq and Somalia - were rated the worst for corruption.
Doing Business
The survey ranked 180 countries on a scale of one to 10 based on the perceptions of business people and analysts.
The best were Denmark, Finland and New Zealand.
Bahrain was 46th with a score of five out of 10, while Jordan and Oman both scored 4.7 to be equal 53rd.
Last year's rankings gave Bahrain a score of 5.7 (36th position), Oman 5.4 (39th position) and Jordan 5.3 (40th position).
Scores below five indicate "serious" perceived levels of corruption, the agency said, while scores below three reflect "rampant" corruption.
Separately, the World Bank's annual Doing Business report put Egypt at the top of the list of reformers who had cut red tape and improved trading conditions.
Cairo greatly improved its position with reforms in five of the 10 areas studied by the report, the bank said. It had slashed minimum capital requirements from EŁ50,000 ($8,950) to EŁ1,000 and halved the time and cost of start-ups. It also cut property registration fees, and set up one-stop shops for traders at the ports, and cut import and export times

So if Hesh is on the ethics committee, that means he will ensure the spot light remains off him and his antics.......

Meanwhile, Hesh continues to be protected along with the other members of this elite club (and we all know who they are....)whilst the smaller fish get fried, Kroll continue to waste GF money and investigate under the pretence of cleaning up the company and getting rid of all the corruption which has been allowed to continue for years-yet the real villans remain safe and protected--your right-`whats new`

Cold store mentality

This is what has beset GF and maintained where it stands today the airline with a cold store mentality pretending to be a hypermarket.

The problem is even the hypermarket in Bahrain is nowhere near hypermarket standards in the region let alone world wide.

Yet our friends in the BOD and MC think they are well above that, like the Michael Kents of this world who come from some bush area in OZ and pretended he knew everything about Inflight, and on and on and on.....They think that they are beyond comparison.

However we are no one to judge them and the market has started to take action where it hurts the most.

BOD, let it be known that the competent warned you but you did not heed the advice and carried out with an immature management team, lacking in the most basic skills needed to head an airline pretending to be of world class renown.

Unfortunately for those who remain, GF has missed the train not once but several times to become the infamous airline of the Gulf that no one wants to fly.

So keep your crooks, rapists and pimps to feed the urges of your despotic and nespotic who will remain nameless but whose reputation has now crossed the boundaries of ephemerical fame.
