That's normal in USA. Most people have over 15k hours and there are still FO.

Yes and they also don't like the idea of iPads and MP players hanging out of the headsets! I think they used the terms " interference with aircraft systems" and "potential damage to electrical systems"

Probably things will stabilise within a couple of months, its just a pain in the mean time and I suspect the last thing on the Company mind now is new starters, focus will be on trying to achieve a higher lever as possible on the normal services. Let's face it. ANY job application worth the salt will take at least 3 months, so sit tight but don't expect to hear anything in hurry. After the initial tantrum it will revert, but I see some " unplanned" vacation happening!

What has the midget leader of the airline "The Baker", has to say now? I wonder how come he hasn't slam people from neighborhood countries as he did to people from the West?

ohhh, I got it, he knows the one who would get hanged to the wall would be him, not Delta's former CEO!!

What a clown this midget is!! I guess he should man up now and start begging for some airspace

Major dissapointment. We can now only guess what will happen.

Will they hire people and let them wait a little longer because they are expecting improvement in the future? Or will they postpone interviews and applications? Or will they be more strict now with the existing applications and reject more pilots since they will not need as much as pilots now as they first thought they did?

All possibilities. Some more realistic then the other, but still stressful.

Time just froze and it's not known when if will unfreeze again for Qatar Airways.

A company like QR can not just assume that everything will get better and needs to make backup (contingency) plans. It's important how these plans will affect it's current and future-hire pilots.

Don't forget, it's a very important period now with the summer and Ramadan, Ramadan holiday. Both which are potentially important times of the year. It's not good to miss these.

Let's see what happens. Can't blame people now for changing his/her mind.

There is no real need to change the selection criteria or interview process and there are enough swimmers to cover the immediate needs until late 2017. The logistics of starting new courses etc and getting people around just needs some thought. Of course QR is never meant to be a commute contract it just happens to work out that way on some fleets but that's a personal choice. What this situation will result in is some "commuters" being stuck and without doubt less block days off.

US Defence Secretary Jim Mattis said the blockade against Qatar by Gulf states, including Saudi Arabia, was a "very complex situation" and it was an area where common ground had to be found. Mattis said Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani had inherited a difficult situation

Where is your evidence that Qatar played a role in killing people in such areas?? Show your evidence and then blame!
