They usually tend to keep you in the same fleet you're type rated, but it all depends on their needs at the moment of hiring. Honestly, nowadays chances they place Airbus guys on Boeing fleet and vice-versa are low, but it has happened before.

Company pays for flight ticket and hotel. Meals are not included.
Ticket is a confirmed economy class with business upgrade depending on seat availability.

Detailed info about the screening can be found on previous pages in this topic and also on latestpilotjobs.com.

I felt the same. I think, you'd better keep your current type to be well-experienced or stay experienced, and wait to be upgradred to the commander position. Man, 11K hours you're talking about !

Headsets

Does anybody know if I can wear my own headsets (DC, Bose, etc) or is it only allow the headsets that Qatar provides you? Or installed in the flight deck.
Thanks

That's normal in USA. Most people have over 15k hours and there are still FO.

Prevention of an unnecessary fire hazard or anything that will do damage to our aircraft electrical system.

Yes and they also don't like the idea of iPads and MP players hanging out of the headsets! I think they used the terms " interference with aircraft systems" and "potential damage to electrical systems"

Might want to follow news about what airspace they can fly through before making any plans. Kind of restricted on routes now that all their neighbors except Iran shut them out.

Settle down. This will be over by next week. I like the idea of a new management running the country. That said, I have a job here, so........
I wouldn't be quitting a job just yet, would wait a week and see how things go. The worst thing is we wont have to do those painful night stops in OMDB, OMDW, OMAA, OMSJ, OEGS, etc.

I wouldn't be retracting an application either, they still have 150 planes on order.

Probably things will stabilise within a couple of months, its just a pain in the mean time and I suspect the last thing on the Company mind now is new starters, focus will be on trying to achieve a higher lever as possible on the normal services. Let's face it. ANY job application worth the salt will take at least 3 months, so sit tight but don't expect to hear anything in hurry. After the initial tantrum it will revert, but I see some " unplanned" vacation happening!
