next 777 will come in Sept. QA was suppose to recieve 15 by year end BUT the strike at Boeing cause a problem and now QA will recieve 12, B777's by years end. presently there are 8, B777 aircraft on line.
32, A330 variants 4, A346 around 25 or so A320 Variants with more narrow bodies to come this year as well. also 4, A300-600 cargo aircraft.
these are the general rough figures give or take a aircraft or 2.

Posioned by compromise

I guess they are all right with the type rated guys they collected during their road shows and didn't bother to give an update which could have been useful for those who took leaves on the feb dates. Within a month we could see their difference of attitude depending on whether they need or doesn't need you.

Good luck when you do get an answer from them. Don't ask a second time, even if the answer doesn't make sense, because you will get a different answer and if it still doesn't make sense and you ask for clarification you will get a third, different answer even if you are asking the same person three times.

QR's HR department are in a mess.

HR has, at the moment, nothing to do with the initial hiring process of the pilots.

It is all done by a training captain and his team (?).

QR is not that bad guys. It just has exactly the same issues as any other carrier in this region. They all lie and cheat, so be prepared!

Do your homework and do not believe in fairy tales! (YOU WILL NOT GET A FAST TRACK UPGRADE, YOU WILL NOT GET A 4 BEDROOM VILLA AS A FO, YES IT IS A DESERT COUNTRY SO EXPECT LOTS OF DUST, THE FLEET YOU WILL BE HIRED ON WILL BE YOUR HOME FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS,...)

But once you are in, the flying is fun(most of the time anyway) and the money will be in the account every month! And that is worth a lot in this worldwide crisis dont you think?

Like many who were supposed to go for interview in Feb we didn't hear anything from QR for the past 3 months. It's nice to see they are resuming interviews with new candidates...

I don't know when they will open the website for applications.

I do know they are still processing successful applicants from the SIN 2-6 MAR roadshow through their sim evals. I'm not sure of the percentages of type-rated versus non type-rated applicants.

I've heard classes on the 777 are commencing every week. Not sure about other a/c classes.
