And while you are at it, park the SUV's, take down your gun racks, and stop being the biggest polluter on the planet.
Two things here,
1) China has taken over the US as the world's largest polluter.
2) Transportation is not the problem in regard to climate change....the generation of electricity contibutes about 55% of the CO2. So, cut back on your electricity consumption, eh?

Sometime back I read in the newspaper that UAE is world's biggest waster of world's resources for the year 2006, US was second. I don't remember which organisation conducted the survey or which specific resources did they mean.

Apparently China is the worlds largest polluter, because other countries, eg the US,have used the cheap labour costs there to produce just about everything. The US now imports 70% of its products from China.

Actually there is possibly some truth in this rumour.
If the clock starts ticking now, then 10 years from now, and given the current rates of UAE inflation, and assuming EK continues to make some profit and the Dollar/Dirham continue their decline - then a 4 week bonus will be about US$ 1,000,000.
Look at Zimbabwe - 1 US Dollar today is worth 10,000,000,000 of the Zim dollar 10 years ago. Who would have believed 10 years ago that a USD hidden under a matress would buy Ten Billion (Yes thats correct) zim dollars today.
Note this exchange rate is only valid for the next 30 minutes......

damn, it leaked somehow out.
yes, it is true we emirates pilots get a million us after 10 years, its even protected for inflation, so I'll get soon about 2 million us.
ek is the best airline to work for, all the new joiners say that the first year and say we oldtimers are just complaining, unfortunately the same guys become oldtimers like us after 12 months and complain all the time.
please dont tell anybody that we make all that cash because we dont want to share

..."'China the largest polluter......." Oah..oah., what does it mean...???cool down guys, and think twice....China is the most populated country in the world....1.5... billion ..what is population of America.....?
Second if you want to talk about polution and "polluter""country you should have a look at the quantity of POLLUTION PRODUCTED/HABITANT and not the total quantity of pollution producted by a country....and guess who are a the countries on the top of the list...countries like ..UAE,QATAR....USA....While china is at the bottom of the list!!

I read somewhere....
That the occasional dishonest pilot could secure loans against Emirates amounting to about $1 000 000 USD and then leave the country...Maybe this is what u mean by bonus??
