Dana Executive Jets

Based in OMRK, RAK, received its A6 AOC last week, and two days later operated its first revenue flight.

The G5 appears to be in great demand, lets hope that they are able to satisfy the local charter market.

Go guys go...

Good news!

I read that a Hawker 800 was also expected to enter service.
I guess Dana crews won't be bothered by long distance travel for their recurrent... Add 1 BBJ and a G550, and CAE DXB will suit them perfectly...

I am also excited about discovering Dana's updated web site...

I have a good job presently, flying a modern and powerful midsize jet, but I am trying to keep current on the employment market for several reasons.
First one is because I get into the habit of searching for positions for a few years and I simply didn't stop this.
Second is because of my strong interest, and passion, for the business aviation sector.
Third is because even good jobs may have a sudden end...

Where did I get the Hawker info? In february 2007, during MEBA.
"Filght daily news" interviewed Tahir Iqbal, Dana's Ops director.

web site will fly soon

It is being redesigned from the original holding page (dated march 2007), and will fly this year, (perhaps Noverber 29th)....

Aviatordubai, sorry I missed you at the show, I was mostly outside, but do agree the stand was very attractive and very competenty manned by RAK airways staff.

You only need two pilots.

Hi Viktor

I am a VVIP flight attendant and i called them to see if they have vacancies.. I was told by the HR manager that they have new mangement and that they are going to extend their fleet and recruit again.
so we should wait and keep checking!
good luck!

it is very quiet in RAK

The Challenger is tech.
The G5 has just returned from a big trip for the owner, no charter bookings on the cards.
The Hawker (s) are a load of junk, only suitable for ferry flights, or cargo.
The Air Bus is changing management.

So yes I suppose there are changes.

The 604 guys are good chaps the A+ team, the G5 guys are the B- team.

The current DFO is also a very good guy.

Viktor are you one of the guys.?

One G5 crew member is employed more in the SIM by CAE, than the company that sponsor him, and I assume rated him on the G5.
How do the GCAA currently view dual ratings, being exercised on their licences.

It can all change, like the management, every six months.

The new new new CEO, has not been approved by the GCAA, so the token post holder is the last CEO who was fired last month.

In RAK, nothing lasts: RAK Airways, DAE, IAE, and Dana management.

Take care, but I wish you luck.

I also wish Dana luck.

I don't wish DANA luck.

They will get what they deserve....

Cheating and lying are so ingrained into the establishment of this company, no different to several others who have the same ultimate boss, that they would not recognise truth and good business practice if it hit them in the face.

Mind you what would you expect when the day to day supervision is by a secretary and a demented sales clerk......

Stay away, would be my advice.

glf : You are right the A+ team are a good bunch and are lead by an ex Bexair Captain who is also the Dana Safety Manager he seems to have really turned things around and it is all on the up!

So fingers crossed for all that it stays positive and does not change.

Capt E

The thread has not been updates, as you say, because for those of us in the know, know, that The RAK Airways thread, by default includes most if not all the poop on DANA.

But to update you....(LOL)....11 fired a few days ago, there have been 4 or 5 CEO, hirings and firings.
There is a advert running currently for a Glf and CL qualified Training Captain.

The word on the street is the Glf and CL are for sale.

Rumour also that one of the current captains, has a false CV so long it bores you to death. Military time and experience that can not be verified.

Draw you own conclusion.

This and more on the RAK AIRWAYS thread.

DANA Jets sold to Saudi

Is this true, has the ruler decided to abort his take off in DANA.

At the MEBA show, and subsequent press release, they announced the pending acquisition of several big aircraft.
I predicted a G550 almost one year ago, but this was thwarted by the desire for excessive management fees, as well as a very high charter rate.
Now it looks like another Bus, plus an other type.

The move to the new offices, to be closer to Capt Potty, went smoothly, the daily inspections are getting less traumatic.

Moral is at an all time LOW, so expect more news soon.

Capt E, did you progress your interest.?????

Move back to airport

The new Saudi owners, are cutting costs, attempts to reduce payroll.

The sales department is based on a mobile phone that doesnt even answer as Dana, but hello......

The operations will move back to the airport into the original building, in the car park. I assume the rent is less than RAK Towers.

Where are the promised new aircraft.?

Sarcasm works in Sandy Bottom

Sarcasm is alive and well, and is the footstool, ( reference to potty), of Pprune.

re QM, the word in the dunes is that he was fired for excessive use of the word: NO.
