I would be careful with this lot. They can't even spell aviation in their e-mail address...

The e-mail address was copied verbatim from the classified ad, hence the annotation "[sic]"

Danger

Well, if they are paying U.S.$ 10.000, wouldn't mind to apply for the position; too bad they only accept female cabin crew otherwise it'd be a good chance for all of the B-767 guys (including me of course). God help us all mates!!!!!

GAGing in bahrain,

I wouldnt describe KALAIR as an airline as they only operate the 767, its therefore not surprising that they dont have a HR department to control applications, using a GMAIL address, they can cancel it as soon as they have recruited the required person.

Are they really paying $8k?

Kalair facts

Hey everyone,

Here's some info abut Kalair I can give you with %100 certainty....

*Kalair is a private aviation company which is wholly owned and serves the personal aviation needs of one of the leading members of the Saudi Royal Family, who is also a member of the Saudi government. The crew carry HRH and his immediate family all over the world to various destinations

*The salary for trial is £3500.00 per month, if offered a full time position a salary will be discussed with you that will exceed this amount. This salary is paid directly into your bank account every month even though you will only work six months of the year. The crew members also have full BUPA medical insurance which covers you world wide. You will be permitted to have one free phone call home per week or per new destination and all laundry cost will be covered by the company

*The crew all leave airside together and book in to a five start hotel until their next duty which could be anything form one day to two/three weeks

*The uniform that the girls wear is a black trouser suit, if selected for a trial you will be required to provide your own suit and if offered a full time position all uniform requirements will be provided for you which will also include luggage.

Hope this helps!

Thumbs up Kalair - Probably the best private aviation company to work for.

I completed a trial for Kalair last year, I didnt get offered a full time position but a girl who worked after me did (lucky her). The experience I gained there helped me secure a job with another company. I was told at the interview that it may only be for a month which I took at face value. They are a very professional company to work for, I would jump through hoops to get a full time position with them. The salary is £3500 for the months trial which goes up to £4200 if you get a full time contract, we also got fantastic tips. There is nothing that I can personally say against this set up, any negative feed back I have read must be from those wannabes who either didnt get a trial or offered freelance work which I hear they are now recruiting for, sounds like sour grapes to me!!! Since joining the private sector I have worked for a few companies who advertise the same benefits as Kalair but once you join they fall back on their promises, not paying on time, lowering the salary and asked to wear ridiculous uniforms which bearly cover your backside. I would say if any of you get a chance of a months work go for it, some of the girls I know have been called back many times on a freelance basis and from what I hear those are the ones who have been offered full time jobs.

Thumbs up contact details for kalair

Hi
I got Kalair's recruitment e-mail address from aviation job search, it is [email protected] HR Manager is Helen Cobb. The address previously printed was an error from the web site host, I contacted them and they gave me the correct address.
I was interviewed in London by Helen at the Sheraton Hotel in Knightsbridge, she apparently has been with the company for 15 years or so, she was very nice, it was all very relaxed but she certainly grilled me, certainly not a push over!!!. Good luck, I see they are now looking for chefs.
