This Flight International article is quite interesting. I never knew that Austrian Airlines now has twice-weekly service into Erbil (in Kurdistan). Also interesting that they are building a 4800 meter-long runway! :

Kurdistan/Northern Iraq

Region has two International Airport( Hawler/Erbil and one in Suleymanyah), and now seven airlines operating to the area.

The Donner Kebab business must be good good in Vienna.

I guess the best way of avoiding the problems with landing in Baghdad is to avoid Baghdad
