To be or not to be...
Hi,
Would like to hear opinions on the following...
Currently have a F/O position in VB, going well however no news on upgrade time, would like to give EK a go.
Have a wife and small child.
To go, or to stay...

Stay put in VB and wait for a better option.EK and DXB is not the place for a young family.Your wife will end up hating it and then you for bringing her and your young child.It will take a long time for a command and the every day dangers are just not worth it.You will end up with a expat brat with a english ascent probably divorced and stuck in the expat holding pattern unable to return home.Better to go and do another degree to help you with a business on the side and opportunities will come your way.All the best and enjoy the ozzie lifestyle.

Bellbird - it's not as gj12345 puts it. Sure, there are annoyances and niggles - but as with living anywhere life is what YOU make of it. There are a lot of guys that I know that are still happy to have come here.... Myself included
By the way, your kids will only turn into expat brats if YOU let them. If you bring 'em up properly they'll be fine.

I believe VB is going International...one day...using widebody's of some form. There is also strong talk of Virgin Bush (love it!) with Embraer Jets.
These options any good to you?
