Hi,
Would like to hear opinions on the following...

Currently have a F/O position in VB, going well however no news on upgrade time, would like to give EK a go.
Have a wife and small child.

To go, or to stay...
Any opinions would be appreciated.

Stay put in VB and wait for a better option.EK and DXB is not the place for a young family.Your wife will end up hating it and then you for bringing her and your young child.It will take a long time for a command and the every day dangers are just not worth it.You will end up with a expat brat with a english ascent probably divorced and stuck in the expat holding pattern unable to return home.Better to go and do another degree to help you with a business on the side and opportunities will come your way.All the best and enjoy the ozzie lifestyle.

Bellbird - it's not as gj12345 puts it. Sure, there are annoyances and niggles - but as with living anywhere life is what YOU make of it. There are a lot of guys that I know that are still happy to have come here.... Myself included:ok:

By the way, your kids will only turn into expat brats if YOU let them. If you bring 'em up properly they'll be fine.

I believe VB is going International...one day...using widebody's of some form. There is also strong talk of Virgin Bush (love it!) with Embraer Jets.
