Noticed a DC8 on the Northside of DXB looking rather sorry for itself, with either the starboard gear collapsed or sunk in sand. Any ideas what happened??? Lots of emergency vehicles etc in attendence.

Just in this morning and saw the mess.
A redcap said the crew took a shortcut to their parking bay. The ramp entry at P2 was nearby but then . . . they could have suddenly lost their steering, had a brake seize or whatever. Was that DC-8-61?
