Heard that they are planning to start with Sukhoi RJ's and TU214, any idea what its called?

yes true!

i read in the gdn, that a kind of joint venture was created in Bahrain. to make fly russian airplane (cargo) and be local dealer for other russian airplane makers.

no gulf air is not switching to a full Antonov or Tupolev fleet !
