Whats Muscat like? the area forming horn of Arabia

Any one been to that part of Oman also called Muscat that lies at the tip of the Arabian peninsula, are there any air services to the territory?

Oman Air fly ATRs up to a place called Khasab which is up in that corner, think its called Musandam. It's on my list to visit, sposed to be a good place for diving. You can also drive up from from Dubai/Sharjah.
