Sensitive subject perhaps.
Dubai is replete with Westerners, why is AQ not targeting this place?
The possibility has never been broached on this, or any other forum I know of.

Interesting aviation topic. You do realise, I'm sure, that the same question could be asked about every city in the US, for example (lots of Westerners there!). Or are you just hoping that Dubai will be targeted to make you feel better?
P.S. I'll bet you're the type that slows down to look at car wrecks...

What a bizarre subject to open a thread on.
There a few foreigners left in Saudi yet we are still targeted, there are many more in Dubai as you note. If we all go around expecting to be shot, blown up or decapitated life would not be barrel of laughs, however I expect everyone who has any knowledge and experience of the region is aware where we choose to work and behaves with discretion and sensitivity to the culture and religion.
I really don't know what you expect from an answer, though suspect you must be interested in the macabre.

my opinion why nothing has happened in Dubai....the Dubai gov turns a blind eye to AQ....alot of their money filters through Dubai... you know the expression...don't !!!! where you eat...
