Bypass surgery
I'm 45 year of age and flying with B777 as a PiC.
My Medical class 1 was dequalified because of the heart surgery (2 months ago) My Med. Doc said that I have to wait at least 6 months (or even 9 months) to requalified my medical check again. And after that I can not be a PiC anymore even I can have my class 1 back.
Is anyone know about this regulations? Where can I find that references? Please help me out.

Triple
Any consolation to you I had my Triple CABG 7 years ago and am still about. I had two heart attacks 15 years ago within quick succession, the second just after I arrived into ITU, close call though, those delightful doctors and nurses had to use the 'jump leads' on me! Wish you well for the future.......

Interestingly, it doesn't say anything about PiC, simply that there will be an Operational Multi-Crew Limitation if a Class 1 is granted. Presumably, that means you can be PiC with a suitably qualified FO?
