legal or otherwise advice for uk pilots
Dear all,
I am looking for independent advice regarding class 1 medical issues, preferably anonymous.
Would an aviation lawyer be appropriate or are there better options?
Is there such a body in the UK?
Best regards.

Whilst perhaps not suited to your particular case, depending on the query - the UK GMC might be able to answer your questions if you have a concern. I believe all UK AME's are required to a hold a full, valid, unrestricted UK GMC registration and a Medical Licence to Practise and this may assist if a query in relation to medical guidance other than AME?.

Depending on the reason you need a medical, you might approach the professional body that represents industry people in that sector for help. But if you are just starting out, you might do well to consider whether you have a medical condition which, ultimately, will bring your career to an early end and, thus, whether the investment you make will be paid back. You may not like reading that but it is the flip side of the question.

This side of the pond, you have no recourse. The agency contracts with the Ame to do the medical, and all the Ame is on the hook for is to do the medical up to the agency standards. There is no formal doctor-patient relationship
