Medical Flight Test

Looking for some advice or if anyone has been through the same issue...

I have recently undergone surgery to reconstruct my ACL in my knee from a football injury. I currently have a Class 1 Medical but do not have a licence, I undertook the medical prior to COVID-19 to ensure I would pass and could enrol for training, all now put on hold for obvious reasons.

When it comes to revalidating my Class 1 when the time is right Iíve been told I would require a medical flight test and a musculoskeletal report. How am I expected to complete a medical flight test when I currently donít have a licence and only a few PPL hours logged?

Hi Dan, a friend of mine had to have one done. Itís no biggie & you donít need a current licence, itís an assessment by an instructor/examiner, to make sure that any former illness/procedures youíve had done donít interfere with the process of a normal flight.

they will just be checking to ensure you can handle a flight normally after your former condition/surgical cure.
