JAA Class1 to FAA

Probably simple anwser couldn't find it with search.

I plan to do some SE Sea plane training this spring in US.
I hold a valid JAA ATPL and Class-1medical.

To do the FAA-seaplane exam. do i need a validation of my JAA medical to FAA ?
I also hold a FAA PPl/ and (restricted) CPL, but did not fly in the us for at least 15 years.

Its easy here to get an conversion but if not nessecary don't want to spend the money on a conversion to FAA class-1 for private use.
