Eye injection for medical
I'm thinking of becoming a pilot after college. A friend's brother is a pilot now and told him that to pass the medical he had to get an injection in his eye, but I can't find any information on this on the internet anywhere.
Could anyone enlighten me as to if this is true?
Cheers

Someone's pulling your leg, methinks.
I have had a class 3 medical for several years, and the closest thing to this I've experienced is when they measure the eyeball pressure using a machine that applies a small (non-sharp) probe to the pupil. They put some drops in first. It doesn't hurt a bit. It's hardly even uncomfortable.
Hth.

What about a class 1 though? And yeah your right seems like a bit of leg pulling, but it would probably have been the difference between becoming or not becoming a pilot :P
Thanks
