JAA Class one blood tests
I've just been told that when I turn 40 this year I will have to get full blood tests done for my JAA class one renewal. I thought it was always just the finger prick test? Bloomin not like needles in veins!
Is this a new requirment? I've not heard of it before.

If you mean the lipid profile that is done at the initial issue and at age 40, then it has been in effect for quite a while now.
Depending on what the requirement is and how it is tested, it may be a fingerprick test or a veinous blood sample. Either way, I doubt it is a big deal.
The lipid profile is one of the factors used in assesing the risk potential of cardiovascular disease. Although it is a reference from the New Zealand CAA, this document may help.
