Osteoporosis
I am looking for information wrt the implications or consequences on a medical certificate of osteoporosis or osteoarthitis. Any information regarding the bisphosphonate (Fosamax, etc) family of drugs would be appreciated as well.
Thanks.
Thanks.
You'll prbably have to talk to the authorities re: the drugs, but generally biphosphonates seem to be tolerated well.
The end outcome measure for patients with osteoporosis is fracture-there are no "in between" symptoms- you either don't have a break, or you do, so I'm unsure as to how this would be an issue in some one in the younger age range, but may have implications in those older.
I should imagine every 50 year old pilot has some form of osteoarthritis somewhere. The authorities are likely to be interested in your symptoms- (pain, function, mobility etc.)
keep us posted.
