BWBI: it's difficult to appreciate how it must feel to suddenly not be able to speak, other than terrifying. I was fortunate not to suffer any effects from my "event", although ironically I've had a slight lifetime stammer that did not get worse (or better)

I still don't have an explanation for what happened to me (I have none of the usual risk factors) but am waiting for the results of a 24 hour ECG which will determine whether I suffer from arrhythmia.

My discussions with the CAA are not encouraging so I'll be starting another thread about regaining a JAA medical after a TIA or stroke.

Some new baby wings are starting to sprout

An NPPL based on a DVLA group one medical has been given the go-ahead, so this is at least a small step in the right direction.

(Further test results: a 24 hour ECG was normal - slightly surprising given the range of things that one can get up to in 24 hours )

I've jumped straight to the end of the thread, someone may have mentioned it already (In which case ..... sorry!)

Have you and/or your Medical Practicioners considered Bell's Palsy ..... Similar symptoms, but not nearly so dangerous or permanent as a stroke.
