Thankyou for all your replies.
I gained some useful information on this topic of Tinnitus - I am comforted that I will actually be able to fly an aircraft despite this annoyance.
However, I regret that my question caused such an in depth discussion - It was not intended to do so - I only wanted guidance.
But many thanks to those of you that assisted- I forget who said that if you have such a thing as Tinnitus then you will try almost Anything to get rid of it, but that is a true statement.
regards to all

Mach 78, you are quite wrong about Tinstaafl's qualifications. His ATPL is most definitely thawed. In fact he now holds several ATPLs.
He is a professional health worker as well.
All he did was call you on the validity of a statement that you made. As a professional, he is entitled to do that. I am sure if you saw an inaccuracy on an issue that you would respond in a similar way.
I too have a scientific background and I would also question blanket health statements with little or no scientific proof.
You did offer help and that is great. Just, as with any advice on any forum, it may be challenged by others. There is no malice in that.

So machie is your tantrum over - can we assume you'll put teddy back in the pram and play nicely now.
However, I would like to know when the BMA announced that it would accept 'pilot' as a medical qualification. Otherwise, I think it would be a good idea if you left prescribing treatment on medical conditions to the professionals.
And Tinny, next time you want a battle of intellect pick someone who has one.
