Post Gatwick and the initial Class One

Can anyone tell me if you can do an initial JAA Class One medical outside the UK. I can do a JAA renewal here in Australia, but not the initial. I heard it can be done in Switzerland and The Netherlands, but can't find any information on this..

If you want a UK CAA issued licence then only LGW for the initial.

DocFly..
Many thanks for the reply. The licence I would be converting to would most probably be Swiss, or possibly Dutch. Would you know if I can do an initial JAA class one in those countries. Their websites are not really all that informative..
