Hoyalux iD Varifocals

I need correction for reading and distance, but am now having a slight problem with intermediate range, mainly in the left eye, just at the point where the instrument panel is, viewing Honeywell Primus 1000 screens at night. I renew JAA Class 1.

My Optometrist is recommending Hoyalux iD Varifocals, and the demonstration is convincing that they eliminate the distortions that have been evident with standard Varifocals. I will check with the CAA in the U.K. regarding suitability, but wonder if anyone out there has used them in a commercial jet environment?

My prescription is;

Right eye
SPH -1.25
CYL -1.25
Axis 180
ADD +1.25

Left eye
SPH -1.00
CYL -3.00
Axis 180
ADD +1.25

Many thanks.
