lapsed class one?
Hello,
I have a JAR FCL class 1 which has lapsed, still student pilot but im flying/training using my class 2 medical which is still valid. Am I right in thinking I can goto my nearest AME to revalidate my class one?
Reason I'm slightly confused as my air law study mentions:
Does this mean I need to trek all the way to Gatwick again for my renewal?

Expiry of a medical certificate - If a medical certificate expires a full medical examination, as if for the initial issue of the certificate, will be required. To pass any such medical examination, you will be expected to comply with the same medical exacting standards for new pilots

wbryce,
Provided it hasn't lapsed by more than 5 years.
Less than 5 years and a bog standard renewal with your local witch-doctor will do; more than 5 years and an Extended Class 1 Renewal is needed, more than 10 years and a full Class 1 Initial is required, both at Gatwick.
