Me too. Last week Wizz told me that the start date would be in October.

How long did you had to wait since you had passed your assessment?

Because for the one on-line is like you said, but not for the one in person

Indeed, I only attented online presentations. Hope you have clarified this since your last message

You don't need Wizz SOP. They will brief you very clearly before the sim session. You will be assessed on general handling, climbing, descending, steep turns, speed changes etc. Then you will have an ILS approach where they want to see your instrument scan but the actual landing is not part of the assessment.

Go do an hour or two of any decent 320 sim in your area, pretty sure there are a few at least in Madrid, get used to the stick and the neutral stability and get a feel for the protections alpha and bank over 33 degrees, but don't complicate your own life by trying to learn something they are not looking for, possibly opening yourself up for mistakes.

Have anyone, 35 years old or more, been shortlisted or called for interview for a non-type rated cadet level position?

I’m seeing a probable pattern and it seems that they are only taking the young ones.

SeZo82 3rd Oct 2022 13:16

I think between 35 and 40 your chances for the interview is about 50%. After 40 is 0. Unfortunately. I finished my integrated course 2 years ago when I was 38, and I didn't get the chance for the assessment. Despite I graduated at one of the Wizzair contracted University.

horus23 4th Oct 2022 17:39

I've just turned 36 and my application was not selected. Boomer

SeZo82 4th Oct 2022 18:08

When did you apply? If before 2022 jan, apply again.

I’ve applied in the beginning of September, status changed roughly a month later.

Anyone know if we should apply again in the future in this case?

or if they may call you later on changing the status of the same application?

Same case here. With a really high score in the theory, an engineering degree, 7 years experience in military aviation and 4 years experience with the A320family Flight Line.

MrChukro 10th Oct 2022 14:06

Hello everyone!
I got invited for an assessment for Wizzair Hungary in November, anyone else going then?

xavieribanez 10th Oct 2022 18:07

I got invited for an assesment for early December. I would really appreciate if someone could share his interview experience and what to expect. Thank you. :)

Sorry to hear about the reject, but Wizz hires over 30 pilots, former military and with A320 experience. I was on of them.
I would keep on trying because we'll need LOTS of drivers very soon.

Wizzair is still doing assessments weekly and this will not stop soon I think. I got the job 6 months ago and the hiring trend is still going upward because of the need for new FO's and Captains in the years to come. Wizzair is currently getting two new airplanes every month.

As for the age, I met a FO who is 36 and got his first job half a year ago like me. But most of the people over 35 are getting denied I heard from gathering the info from other people in the company.

Feel free to DM me if you would like to have more info.

In my batch we were all beyond 35, all coming from ME.
We all got the position.
Wizz hire over 30/35. It depends on the personal profile.
