Thanks very much - that's really helpful :)

How long does the entire process take from submitting your application to a start date? Is the 6-month period they say on the application a reasonable estimate?
|
I applied in July. Did both assessment in august and still waiting for a response 9 weeks later. Although they say I would get the response in 8 weeks so I recogn those 6 months are about right if not optimistic.
BTW anyone that waited more than 9 weeks made it at the end? I am just afraid that they havent said anything yet because I have not made it. |
Hey, how did you find the second assessment the non technical day? I have mine in a few weeks and was wondering if it was possible to prepare for the cut-e assessment? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |
Non-technical is, as described on the flight school websites, entirely teamwork capability / competency based. Very standard to any assessment in all industries. With regards to cut-e, there is no way to prepare, just be yourself and answer honestly. There is no right or wrong!
|
I know this isn't technically part of the subject matter but I've now grown an attachment to this thread... Got my medical on the 20th and was wondering if anyone would like to share their thoughts/experience/preparation tips for it?
|
I've not been to a medical however, after reading many blogs and seeing videos of people's experiences, the best thing they had said was to not lie. They work at a case by case method.
|
evening folks, I recently sat the stage 3 assessment day and am now just in the process of waiting about ten years to find out if i've been successful or not, which i'm fine with. i'm just a little concerned because from what i've seen on here people hear back within a few days if they've met the school standard, before then being allocated a route - however i haven't heard anything at all. So my question is, has anyone ever had experience in not hearing from the school within a few days for example, and still being offered a place on the course? or..
|
Hi mate I am still waiting and its the 9th week. The next say of the interview I got an email saying I made it and had to wait a minimum of 8 weeks. That is all I have heard from them.
|
Are you waiting to hear from CAE or L3/CTC? I think the latter are usually quite quick to inform whether or not you've met their standard before your file is sent to EZY. Not sure about CAE.

Hey guys,
Asking on behalf of a friend. Do they have training dates throughout the entire year or are the training courses usually between January - July? |

Is it only for EU Nationals?

Hi everyone!
I just received an e-mail about 'Assessment 2' (at L3) which is the non-technical day and was hoping someone would be able to shed some light on the following: -We are told to complete a cut-e test prior to attending Assessment 2. What does this entail? -Does anyone have any information on the group exercises/interview in terms of what the format is for the group exercises plus any tips and what kind of questions they ask in the interview. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks |
Hi gbigglesq, I received the same email a couple of weeks ago and was also unsure of what the cut-e test was as there had been no mention of it before. I called L3 and they told me it was just a personality test that will be used to help L3/EZY with the interview stages. I would assume they probably use it to build some understanding of the candidate before meeting actually meeting them. So probs isn't something to worry about or prepare for... just answer honestly and be yourself I guess!
|
The cut-e tests are basically personality tests. They're multiple choice questions, just answer them honestly and you'll be fine, don't try and make yourself out to be someone which you are not ive been told they are structured to catch people out if they do this.
But honestly they are nothing to worry about. You'll get sent them normally a week or two before you're assessment. |
Thanks so much for the information guys! That really puts my mind at rest - I was just hoping they weren't more aptitude tests!
|
Does anyone know if calculators are allowed for stage 2 at CAE?
|
No, they are not mate
|
I am applying for the easyJet MPL scheme, I have been accepted onto route 1. I am going down on the 6th November for Assessment Day 1, is anybody else attending that?
|
For those still waiting. It has taken me exactly 10 weeks to hear from EZY so keep your hopes up!

Hi all! Is anyone else still waiting for L3 to put up dates for the Day 2 non-technical assessment? If so, how long have you been waiting for and do you know how often they upload new dates? Thanks very much for any information.
|
Yep I’m still waiting. At my day 1 they said it was likely day 2 dates would in November and early December they were just waiting on EasyJet confirmation
|
I waited over 10 weeks for my response. After receiving the initial email stating that I was awaiting my route allocation, I thought it was a dead cert I was on one of the 3 EZY courses. I've only made it onto the whitetail.
I'd say if you hear back quickly you scored highly. If you wait months it's because they roll your assessment score over to compete against the next months applicants. Gutted. |
Honestly mate, well done for getting offered whitetail. Remember, some don't even get passed the initial application, if you're not happy though, you could ask L3 for some feedback, on what areas let you down, and find out about re-applying. the majority of whitetail seem to go to easyJet anyway, through the hold pool, so you still stand a good chance of being employed by them, if not another airline, perhaps one that even pays for your Type rating... Best of luck with everything anyway - it sure is a tough process to go through, especially when having to wait!
|
Thanks for the kind words mate. Yeah, just it would have been a lot easier re-mortgaging a family members house knowing that an EZY job was at the end. So hard for those from low-income families to become a pilot
|
No worries dude! Have you checked out the BA Cadet programme with L3/CTC? Same academic requirements, and the job at the end... works in the same way as EZY, in the sense that you could be on an MPL or ATPL route...
https://www.l3airlineacademy.com/ba?...SAAEgLo3PD_BwE |
Have a long hard think about whitetail before going for it. Less cadets are leaving L3 and going straight to EZY as a result of the generation easyjet programme fulfilling most demands. Hold pools are filling up with people like my friends who have just done their AQC being told of a wait of up to a year for interviews unless you find your own work, throw in the sudden influx of ex monarch pilots and you get a very volatile picture. Who knows where you may find the industry in two years time, that's the leap into the dark that is whitetail.
As EC 2017 said, consider BA Cadet Programme, if you can afford it (its hardly different to EZY) then you're already past the first hurdle. And flight training doesn't have to be this expensive for low income families, you are simply choosing the most expensive route there is, don't give up just because L3 want to charge the earth for the same blue book everyone gets. Best of luck |

Has anyone who’s started on a course recently had any indication of potential base they could expect/where they currently require?

Yeah I’ve seen it. Just called for feedback incase I were to try for other tagged schemes but they won’t give me any because I’ve been “successful” by achieving whitetail

Gen Easyjet with l3
Just out of dibden about 2 hours from stage 2 assessment. Writing this as I'm waiting for a flight home in Southampton. They told us at the briefing that the next dates for non technical was in the new year (2018) also they said that there are only so many route places available and if they are full you'll be offered whitetail. It's the exact same as EZY ROUTE 3 just not with an airline
If anyone has any questions feel free to ask |
How did it go? That's interesting actually. So essentially it gives those that sit the assessments earlier on in the process an upper hand, compared with people that sit it later? Which would make sense, because when I was offered a route, several months back, it seemed lots of others were too, but it seems to have slowed a little recently, with fewer people posting their success on here... either way, hope you get the good news tomorrow bud!

Hope this isn't the case, I have my non-technical assessment next Thursday! Hoping there is still places available for the MPL routes 😑! |
The maths was straight forward enough. Easier than I expected. However let's not even start on the PILAPT. I don't even know what to say. It would honestly be fun if it wasn't your future career you had to do it for let's just say.
|
Just got my email from l3 20 hours after my stage 2 assessment. I passed! Now just for anyone else who is in the same position . There will be no dates a available for stage 3 (interview and group tasks) until January 2018. Thats what was told to us yesterday at dibden. So hold tight for the next while ! Any questioms , dont hesitate to ask
