Candidates who progress through the screening will receive on-line assessments and will be given 72 hours to complete. It is in your best interest to complete the assessments as soon as possible. After this time the link will no longer be available.
Successful candidates at this point will receive another link for the next online assessment via e-mail.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to the group assessment stage which will be held in Dublin between Monday 26th September 2016 and Friday 30th September 2016

I think we will be getting another online assessment it looks like, should you be lucky to get through.

Apitu 19th Jul 2016 08:09

On the Aerlingus website, at the "FAQ" section, they say that after this online assessment you will be shortlisted for an interview in Dublin, but, in the "Essential criteria for application" they mention that after the first online assessment, if successful, you will receive another link to the next online assessment.

Ahhh I see it! Somewhat inconsistent information there between the two pages :P Oh well...hopefully cross that bridge when comes.

Bn02fly 19th Jul 2016 15:02

Has anyone heard back after completing online assessments? (Probably too eager, but just wanted to see) Assuming a high number of applications/assessments to collate and select from... And I'm guessing there's no real rush as next step is in Dublin end of sept?

EZY_FR 20th Jul 2016 18:29

There will be another batch of online assessments for us to have a bash at if we are successful at phase 1.

FlyVeryHigh- 22nd Jul 2016 09:29

Wait... is... killing... me. :ugh: :ugh:

momo95 22nd Jul 2016 10:11

Wait... is... killing... me.
This is Aer Lingus, you really wanna get used to it :} !

Fergz 22nd Jul 2016 13:53

Do you think the next assessment will be similar to the one we just did?

PrettyFlyForAWifi 22nd Jul 2016 16:27

Just about had a heart attack, received an e-mail from Aer Lingus just now saying

'thank you for your recent application, could you please send us a recent copy of your CV urgently by email

This is required for your cadetship programme"

I thought I had done this but the website seemed weird when I tried to upload it when I first applied. Hmmm strange. Suppose it's good that they are looking at CV's now. I'm also a little surprised that they contacted me and asked me for this. I thought they would of just stuck my application in the unsuccessful pile for not having my CV there. Must thank Aer Lingus for not doing this ha!

When you guys completed the online assessment did any of you get an email notification to say your results had been submitted? thanks

Nope, no email here. You should have got a short blurb after you completed all assessments to say your application was submitted.

I didn't anyway

momo95 25th Jul 2016 00:01

Got no email.

clarkd34 25th Jul 2016 08:34

Likewise, no email. I have a vague recollection of the web application saying something like "all modules submitted....you may log out now" at the top of the module list, or something to that effect.

sujiong 25th Jul 2016 22:00

Yeah no email here either - good to hear that no-one else did because I was kind of wondering. Perhaps we might hear back this week!

shamrockCE96 26th Jul 2016 15:26

That's good to hear guys thanks.
Best of luck

momo95 29th Jul 2016 22:02

Anyone receive anything? Got an email today thanking me for taking part and asking for more info on my educational qualifications.

FlyVeryHigh- 29th Jul 2016 23:13

Nothing here yet!

momo, that's probably a good sign. Don't think they'd bother asking you for more details if they knew you'd done poorly in the aptitude tests!

No email for me though.

I'm extremely reluctant to allow my hopes be raised though !

Bare in my mind they just asked for a breakdown of my grades, if I'd included that clearly in my cv I would have received no email. So still hope for all.

Best of luck to everyone :) ... This cadetship is the golden ticket !

Learn to be patient! Aviation is all about patience and perseverance.

The golden ticket it definitely is! Fingers crossed.

I've got the same email

thomavia 30th Jul 2016 22:45

Got the same email as well. What should we give them as "more details" ? I thought my CV was clear enough...

Apitu 30th Jul 2016 22:48

More info about grades, or what school'qualification?

momo95 30th Jul 2016 22:59

Subjects taken in the qualification you're using to gain entry (i only sent this in my reply) and the corresponding grades.

FlyVeryHigh- 31st Jul 2016 12:15

Those who got the email on further educational details, what is your level of education? A-levels/LCs, Degree, apprenticeship?

momo95 31st Jul 2016 12:48

I was reading on an Irish forum (boards.ie) that one or two there also got an email Friday evening.

I also was a bit confused ... So I just gave them the qualification I had that would qualify me for the programme rather than an endless list of subjects and grades lol

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forum. I applied for the Aer Lingus cadets program and completed the first round of assessments. Does anybody know when we can expect to hear our results compared to other cadet programs?

Thank you

Apitu 3rd Aug 2016 17:05

I think everybody who applied would like to know the answer to your question, but all we can for now is wait and hope.

Transpond 3rd Aug 2016 22:15

Is there any travel assistance provided to applicants during the recruitment phase?
No. We do not provide assistance to candidates attending for assessments or interview.

That's strange... my friend got a free EIN flight from LGW to DUB and back in the jumpseat for the interview. :bored:

Well you will only be told if you passed remember. They said if nothing for 4 weeks then you can assume you were not successful is all.

clarkd34 4th Aug 2016 11:57

It's mad how when you wait for something so intently, time feels like it's dragging by. It's only coming up on three weeks since the assessment deadline but I'd swear it's felt like a month.

You sure about that? Sounds extremely odd, I have applied twice before and know numerous others travelling from abroad ... no one has ever gotten help with travel and yes some inquired. You sure he wasn't bsing you or he didn't know anyone working for them?

Don't expect anything

Standby tickets are offered if you're called back for the later stages (after final interview).

After final interview would make sense, that for the medical etc? ... but he said it was for the interview

From psychologist stage onwards, which would also include the medical :)

Edit: could have been for interview with psychologist :) Although how he blagged the jump seat is impressive!

Certainly is, it would have to go through crew control beforehand and then have to get the captain's permission. It's an interesting one alright !
