Do people just lie to them? My final results sheet shows 5 different pass dates as I spread out my re sits. I could just "Photoshop" the sheet and would they be any the wiser?!
That's hilarious :D

If you can't do the time, then don't do the crime. Can you afford to lose close to £30k in the event they find out that you were bullsh*ing and you end up with no where near 500 hours total time?

If you can take the gamble, give it a go but before you do, let me know who you are so that I avoid the pleasure of flying with you.

Theres huge pressure on me and mostly all of us to find a job out there. Big training debts, young age, family, bills etc etc etc. Some times people will do things in desperation and take a gamble.

I doubt I'd ever take that gamble, I'm too honest. I'm just interested to know if people have ever lied to them and if people have found ways round it.

Oh and I'd be a pleasure to fly with :O
You don't know me you can't make that assumption!

Anyone who's willing to cheat isn't worth flying with, or employing. It really isn't hard for RYR to contact your FTO to verify your results.

The only person who put you under this pressure is yourself benish. you signed the dotted. No one forced you. You may have to fid something else in the mean time that isnt a main stream airline. OR you may find another airline that doesn't mind a few failures in GS exams. At the moment all airlines that are recruiting, are only calling for selection those with the best results.

when contacted for interview there is a requirment to have a flight school report and this will include your ATPL results. so if you havent put the work in and failed them then you should have thought about that when preparing for your exams.

There is no justification for dishonesty in an application for a job where your skills and knowledge are the difference between surviving a minor incident and causing a serious accident involving multiple, perhaps hundreds, of fatalities.

Professional aviation is not Flightsim.

Photoshopping your documents would be forgery, you could be sent to prison for that, and yes, they will find out, if they do proper research afterwards, and the chances that they do that after selection and before hiring you is big, as you also need a security clearance.

I think you should try and see what happens, at least if get nicked you don't need to worry about getting a security clearance in the future!

I do know of guys who failed 2 of their ATPL's, and they did get interview with Ryanair, but they did not pass selection. I also know of guys who partialled their IR, and had interview, by the way they also did not pass selection.

So one thing is getting interview, what happens after I don;t know, the ones I know who got in, all had first time passes, even though I heard a rumour that 90% avr. on ATPL was needed, I do know of guys with much less average who have been selected recently.

Depone 9th Jun 2012 15:50

I heard of a guy from my FTO who was the wrong side of 30, partialed both CPL and IR but apparently passed all his ATPLs with a high %. He got in.

But that was a few years back and I think they're more selective now.

JulesW 9th Jun 2012 16:29

... Photoshopping ... I'm also desperate to find a job but how can you think about this not mentioning you even ask the public opinion on this matter. Damn.

I must tell you are certainly very creative and hope you are even a better decision maker because in the end you will only cheat yourself.

My friend told me somebody he knows at Ryanair lied about first time passes. Ryanair have never found out and he's been in their company for a around 18 months now.

Not saying you should do it...but this guy's got away with it.

You should not believe everything people tell you!

One thing is to lie about it, another thing is to produce forged documents!

I for one, would despise anybody who would do something like that, than again anybody who would sink that low would have to be a failure and a looser anyway!
