ATR Operators?

Ive just found out I am losing my job on the ATR. Anyone got any info on who operates ATR's in the country and are any of them hiring? I'm low hours as I was in the middle of line training when the company ditched the ATR.

Thanks

Aer Arann Express - 42/72

Who's just ditched the ATR?

It pays to gloat!

Bad Luck old chap - but am I right in assuming that it's the same Leo8 who gloated to everyone a few months ago after he walked into the job in the first place! Who's laughing now mate!?

Not that I'd wish redunancy on anyone, but you seemed to enjoy it all too much, rubbing people's noses in it. I'd be grateful for what you've got - ok you've now lost your job - but you've got a type rating out of it.

Maybe now, you'll realise other people's plight in this industry.

Good luck with the job hunt

Check out page 109 in this months edition of Pilot. A company called Sky Blue Type Training offering ATR42/72 type ratings! A bit of bad timing me thinks!

Highland Airways have got an ATR42 fairly recently as well.

Check out http://www.highlandairways.co.uk for more info on them, don't know if they are recruiting or if they get their crews from Atlantic Airways/Air Atlantique at Coventry as they are involved with them.

Thunder Child.

Your post is well out of order, it stinks in fact. I REALLY hope I never have the misfortune of having you anywhere I work.

In fact I would go so far as to say that you should check out your attitude, because if you are job hunting with a disgraceful gob like that you have little chance at all of making it.

You quite frankly have really annoyed me. I didn't realise such spiteful fools like you were about. Whatever he said does not justify your return gloating.

Shame on you.

Leo 8,

Ignore him/her. Good luck with the job hunt.

I would imagine Air Wales may be a good place to start looking.??

Tailscrape,

Once you've got down from your soap-box, I' refer you to Leo8's posting once he got his job on the ATR.

Not particularly fussed myself, but he did pi55 off a lot of people with his smugness. Just thought I'd bring it to his (and your) attention.

Adios

Thunder,

Yes, I have read his post about when he got the job. It is a bit gloating, however your response was and is well and truly out of order IMHO.

I am no recruiter for airlines, however I am staggered at your reply. All of us are in this downturn together, will be in it together fo a while, will come out of it together and believe me......... a lot of us will fly together at some point too in the future. I don't think your reply is that clever, especially as you did not deem his original post worth the response you have given this innoccuous one.......

This is a small world, so if I were you I would put away petty jealousy and take the moral high ground. Don't rise to what was said, just be happy if you want that maybe justice (?) in your eyes has been done.........you should not crow about it publicly.

So, just chill out my friend.

Hi Everyone!

First, let me apologize for my previous gloating posts. They were not intended to be gloating but rather a joking defence against those who once suggested I should apply for a job at McDonalds when I asked for some help with airline contact details! My intention was never to offend the good guys out there. Guess I was a little naive and didnt realise I would offend!

Thanks to those who have helped me out with info. We are supposed to be out there to help eachother. Flying multi-crew is a team work business so it best to get into that habit. Goodluck to everyone else out there looking for jobs.

It would seem that Skyblue have an ad in this weeks Flight Mag and have also taken a Banner Ad here on PPrune.

Leo, it appears that Air Wales have two more ATRs due in the next couple of months and are in the market for a 5th aircraft to service the LGW-PLH route. For those without a type rating it would appear there is a tie up with Skyblue and anyone recruited without a rating will be trained there.

Leo, I think you can add Aurigny to your list judging by the Ad in this weeks Flight Magazine.
