easyJet roadshow

I Went to the roadshow at stansted rather than the LHR one, i was watching some of the others filling in the questionairres and there seemed to be a lot of European pilots(?Belgian ?German) who had a lot of 737 hours, mostly in the thousands, if these pilots are not being snapped up by the likes of Easy & Ryan it does'nt look good for those of us with only light a/c or turboprop time (other than the lucky few who get in through CTC etc)

Are there still a lot of experienced jet pilots out of work? as I thought they had mostly been taken on and it loooked a bit better for those of us lower down?

How many non British or non Eire pilots work for Easyjet/ Go/ Ryanair et al?
I think you could count them on your hands and toes.

The adverts for the recent Easyjet recruitment days and other flight deck vacancies clearly set out the minimum standards they require from applicants, if you don't meet them, by all means try but don't expect a positive response. But if you do, get your arse into gear and stop being so negative.

approx 16 different nationalities work at Ryanair. Large numbers from all round Europe. Experience levels - Low hours to 10's of thousands of hours.
Good bunch of people.
Please don't turn this into a ryanair bash thread.

Thank you

Angry

I have a friend in Easyjet. She tells me that the majority of pilots are an equal mix of Belgian, Dutch, Aussies Scandies, British and Irish.

Come to your own conclusion, in my understanding of the JAA lisence it has opened our jobs market to one way traffic from every wobbly airline in Europe and the common wealth.

This is the major contributor to the UK fATPL disaster.
When will this pool dry up who knows.

What do you think?

To the point, when are they informing people that they are interested after attending the roadshow?
