When they were last looking, they wanted 757-experienced pilots with (I think) about 1500 hours on type. I haven't heard anything about a new recruitment drive.

Scroggs, DHL are recruiting some low hrs guys as I got told recently in my interview, dont know how many, but it is commented on numbers elsewhere.
I have a start with them and have 2000hrs, but its good to see a company willing to give low hours guys a break as well.
Best of luck to those of you who were lucky enough to get an invitation for an interview.

You'll note that parcel's post above has been removed, as DHL are completely swamped by enquiries. They have more than enough candidates for interview and don't need any more approaches from would-be DHL pilots for now!

If anyone else fancies posting a name and phone number on Pprune, it might be worth checking with that person that they are willing to have, and can deal with, the many, many enquiries that will result. It's a bit rude to not give them a choice in the matter!

Scroggs,

I think you will find that like me, Parcel works for DHL.

What he/she did was not wrong. It was just trying to help out someone who had asked for info.

It may have been misguided, but it does not deserve the scathing you have given it. By virtue of the fact that DHL are an airline, and that HR Managers are in the business of dealing with job applicants, I for one cannot see the problem.

FYI, I have got several unsolicited phone calls this week from a variety of people who know people who know people who know me. They want jobs too. I wasn't asked? However, seeing as this is a caring sharing career, answered them. However I cannot help as I am a mere low level FO.

By removing (censoring) non hostile threads Scroggs, you could inadvertently be discriminating against Wannabees on the very forum you control. Not fair methinks. May the best man win I reckon.

tailscrape and parcel

sorry if it came over as 'scathing', it wasn't meant to. The person parcel mentioned contacted me and more or less begged to have her name and number removed from the forum as she was inundated with people asking for more information. To remove just the name and number from the post would have made it totally unintelligible, so I removed the post.

Once again. sorry if it seemed a little heavy handed!

SCROGGS

No problem, it is actually rather embarrassing for the person involved I am sure.

The problem of course for DHL and other airlines is that when shiny jet jobs are nearly in the grasp of low hours wannabees.....the word travels fast!!!

I really like the lady concerned at DHL....after all she employed me, and I can see how it would be a huge pain sorting all the stuff out.

Have a good weekend.

So these low hour jobs that are going are we to assume they are for the cap509'ers. Airlines employing guys an gals with less than 500hr onto a jet I presume its going to be the likes of Cabair, OATS graduates. Anyone know any different??

Is it EAT in BRU who is hiring lowtime FO's ?

Having worked for DHL worldwide express for 2 years now while jobhunting for a FO position this would be a welcome break. Does anyone know what DHL policy is regarding internal recruitment from the DHL group?

EAT was very good in the past with giving opportunity's to upgrades from within(ops people who got there pilot license) these days i dont think they are doing a lot of it (to many Sabena people on the market)
DHL air is not hiring direct entry Captains any more i was told.
Pay is pretty good at DHL air but i dont know the figures.
A lot of ACL pilots are flowing into the system but with 1 to 2 757 arriving every month they will need a lot of crews.
There are a some F/O's who are coming up for a Upgrade i did hear(good for them).
the problem they have at the moment is training all the people ,BA does all the ground school and sim(no problem there) but i was told that Linetraining is a problem at the moment,(not enough linetrainers).
Good luck to everybody looking for a job
