Talking I'm through!

Don't ask me how but I managed to get through to stage 3! I was terrible at those Maths questions!!

Sorry Mullers and all who didn't get through, its all just a good experience and your gonna make it eventually. Anyway half of the lot who did get through are gonna be in the same boat as you after stage 3!

So who else got through? Did any of the James' make it? The dates i've been asked to decide on are 30th Oct or 11th Nov, i'm going for 11th Nov cos i'm free that day.

Cheers,
Colin

does anyone have any good interview tips for stage 3??

can anyone tell me what kind of questions they're likely to ask?

any related feedback from those that have previously experienced this stage would be great - especially concerning the Sim. ive never been on one before and dont have a clue what to expect!

cheers all

Just to clarify a point - easyJet no longer give ANY expenses to CTC cadets - and that includes nightstop allowance and also no leave is given during the CTC contract period. Hence the conversion course plus 6 months with NO time off, that is 9 months with no holiday. Still a great scheme though.

Good scheme now maybe.... it was a GREAT scheme before.

jmc did not give leave, but did treat us like real pilots. Including not making us feel like cheap labour. Shame eJ do not feel the need anymore. Apparently.

Biggles and others, congrats on getting through stage 2.

As for stage 3 tips just go there and be yourself. As interview preparation, try to think of any and all questions they might ask and think what you might say in response. A useful starting point for this is the link on this thread to the kent uni website (think is 5 or more pages back).

As for stage 4, there is nothing you can do to prepare really, just go in there and try your best - it's actually quite fun if you manage to relax!!

Best of luck guys n gals

Hey people,

Well done on getting through stage 2..!

For the interview at stage 3, one bit of advice I'd give is to be passionate about what you're saying. Like Rod Eddington said, think about the questions they're likely to ask (it's easy to do, there's no surprises or trick questions!) and plan the kind of thing you might say in response. When it comes to the actual day, if you come across like you've thought about it and prepared for it, and if you sound passionate in your answers, that will stand you in a good position.

Stage 4 is tiring, but certainly great fun! Don't worry about it too much.

All the best to you all.

As a general rule, how long does it take CTC to get back to you, once you have sent your application form to them?

Any idea when the next course kicks off in NZ?

Cheers

B777Cptn,

if u read back thru the past posts u will see that there is some discrepancy over how soon CTC will get back to you. personally, ive always had responses either the next day or the day after.

as for NZ as i understand it cadets are being sent off more or less every month - but i may be mistaken. they are definately looking to fill the March course at the moment though.

good luck with your application,

Biggles.

Thanks Biggles for the info.

I sent my app off to them about a week ago, but i been checking the emails every day and nothing has come back from them as yet.

Do they let you know if your application is unsuccessful?

Has anyone from Australia applied for the CTC Sponsorship Program?

Just wondering how the conversion of our Australian TEE examination marks works with their requirement below:

You must have passed a minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade C or above to include Maths, English and a Science. In addition you must have 2 “A” Levels at grade C or above or an Honours Degree, minimum level 2:2. (Equivalent qualifications will be considered)

Stage 2

Well done everyone who got through - I didn't unfortunately, but hey, I guess it was just not meant to be. Please let me know how you all get on though - maybe I can come and visit in NZ!!!

May try for other schemes - they do seem to want you to be scientific though and I am arts through and through! So...

Anyway, well done guys!

Just got an email back from CTC saying that i was successful on stage 1 of my application.

Gotta answer the 'dreaded' 4 questions and send the answers back to them.

Anyone got any tips or advice on what they may be looking for in the answers?

Thanks!!

For those of you asking about stage 3, I would suggest that you take Rod Eddington's advice and have a look at the link to the Kent University study of the CTC interview.

B777,
For the 4 questions you've just got to express yourself clearly, fluently and concisely and of course show your ambition. Most importantly, make sure your spelling, punctuation and grammar is 100%.

Good luck!

Have you checked your PMs? I sent you some info on the stage 4 sim assesment last night, but my computer was being a bit dodgy, did you get it?
