hello everybody
as from last week I belong to the pool of fATPL 200hrs, chasing the common dream we all share.
I subscribed today to pprune so I apologize if my point will result banal - bear with me...
When I started my training I had no false hopes of getting into an airline straight away, that has never been the case apparently and, apart from few sporadic (shall I say lucky?)chaps, everybody has had to climb the ladder from the very bottom. Fair enough I think, this is the case with every other job in the world.
Now, for those who are not picky and are prepared do fly anything anywhere even for stupid salary just to build up hours, can anyone give us some guidance on how to find this positions?
I wouldn't mind flying frozen chickens at night in Vietnam on a piston engine, but how do I get to know about those jobs?
It's not exactly something you find on the internet, is it?
Thanx for any advice and good luck to all of us

the key is persistance!!!
I had only 300hrs and I was offered a job working for a JAR-OPS airline. Although you can't expect to get a airline job straight away, it will come with time if you keep yourself current and sell yourself!!! That means looking at the market, and airlines that would employ you and target them.
It is hard work and it can be soul destroying as no-one likes to be told to get lost, but you have to keep on trying.
Good luck to you all, I know how it feels and I am sure that once this damn war is over the market will pick up!!
