So because you claim to know a few (who aren't gonna tell you even if they did) then that means it's not true? Is the HR head of pilot recruitment still standing up at the start of the day and doing her best to convince everyone how "corruption free" the process is? (is this how BA, Ryanair, Easyjet or anybody else start their recruitment days?)
Is the last stage of the process still a "review board", where after passing all objective stages, now unknown and evidently subjective criteria are the final tool to determine the chosen? Yeh, sounds entirely corruption and bias proof, LOL
As I said, good luck to all applying. Just manage the expectations. if they say there are 10 spots, there are actually only 3 or 4 that are truly up for grabs .. you get the idea.

Yes, I am going to tell you, a total stranger over the internet, where I have worked, and what I have witnessed.
If you would be so kind as to provide an email address, I will also forward you documents, because such acts of corruption are of course officially recorded, with paper trails.
Meanwhile, Redmond, I have a bridge to sell you and you sound like the perfect customer for it .. DM for details!

Why should anyone assume that you're anything other than a mong with an axe to grind if all you have to provide is "trust me bro, I can't say anymore lest the green machine takes me down"?

If it's fully funded there is going to be some people who don't deserve it getting picked. If it's through family connections "old mates" networks etc it doesn't matter.
I worked in military recruitment for a long time and we would occasionally get told to "look past" some peoples test results or interview score.
Unfortunately that's life.

Ok. So not only are they corrupt, they're so corrupt that you fear for your career if you provide even a scrap of evidence for the paranoid nonsense you're spouting? Not even a story or anecdote to illustrate your point?

First we had idiot, now we have "mong" - you are getting more sophisticated, impressive.
But seriously, is everything OK at home? Have you spoken to someone about this evidently impulsive urge to turn vitriolic and hurl insults whenever you hear or read something you disagree with? With all the talk about mental health these days, you may wish to share this behaviour with your AME, a psychologist may be able to trace it for you.
Meanwhile, Climb150 - please do go sit in the naughty corner. How dare you state such blindingly obvious truths to a person who wouldn't accept the truth if it slapped them across the face.

Hiya folks!
Just applied for Aer Lingus future pilot programme 2025. Anyone who has gone through the whole process in previous years etc can you give some insight?
How was it, what was expected, what was the process like?
Length of time from applying to hearing back?
Length of time to complete all the steps if you get through etc?
Asking as currently living abroad and will be looking into the possibility of returning to Ireland for the opportunity.
Many thanks in advance

Hi,
Best of luck with your application!
The process this year is more condensed compared to previous years, particularly in terms of the deadlines.
The next step will involve completing an aptitude test using AON Cut-E style assessments. This will likely be sent around 14 February, and you'll have 72 hours to complete it.
After finishing the timed assessments, your results will be automatically evaluated. The Nobox team will review your AON scores alongside details from your CV and your Leaving Cert or equivalent academic results.
Successful candidates will receive an invitation around 10 March to schedule an assessment centre session. There will also be rounds of notification emails for unsuccessful applicants. Please note that not all successful notifications are sent at the same time.
The assessment centre will accommodate approximately 40 applicants per day over five days a week, from 24 March to 11 April. The session will consist of two main parts. It will begin with a presentation, followed by various exercises. By lunchtime, fewer than half of the attendees will be invited to continue with further, more personalised interviews. These interviews will assess your motivation to become a pilot and evaluate your performance based on the eight key pilot competencies.
Candidates who progress from this stage will be asked to submit a Class 1 medical certificate (if available) or eye test results. Provided there are no disqualifying factors under EASA MED.B.070 regulations, you'll be invited to complete an online psychological test over Zoom, similar to the assessments at the centre.
Wishing you every success in this journey!

Hello,
I am currently in the process of applying for this programme too.
If successful, I would be a career changer. Can anyone comment requirements and timing of when the referees are contacted? I could provide contact details of my employer/boss but I wouldn't want them contacted unless I have made it through the selection process as it can jeopardise my current job. So I'm wondering at which point will they be contacted. Also, can I provide HR department of my employer as the contact? That's what I have usually done in the past.
Thank you!

[QUOTE=ted_striker87;11816704]Applications are open now. Just saw it.
Hi there I obtained a H7 in higher level maths which is a 03 technically I got 39.7% which I didn’t bother appealing because it did not make a difference to me. Am I immediately disregarded in this process?
